Why don't I see a lot of Flash Sites here?
I like Flash, I do Flash, but I seldom suggest a full Flash website. Flash is cool, and extremely cool in some utility applications. But there are several problems you should consider.
Lately, spyware thugs, hackers, and a variety of other low life types are utilizing active X controls on your PC to do their dirty work through your browser. A lot of people, businesses especially are disabling active x  in their browsers, and Flash won't run without it.
Dial up users (over 50% of the internet traffic), will hate you for forcing them to wait through Flash Intros or Flash of any type for that matter. With Flash, you really need 2 websites so you can redirect dial up users to the Non Flash - another large expense to you.
When you consider that half the surfers will not waste their time with a slow loading Flash site, and that 10% of the internet users don't even have the Flash component installed, and another 5% (and growing) number of users who have disabled active x and you got a lot less viewers. If you are trying to get people to your website, why would you want to alienate more than half of them. Everyone clicks the "Skip Intro" link so why even have it?
As you go through my site you will see that I do use Flash. I sincerely believe Flash is excellent for some situations so please understand it's just a common denominator thing. If you feel like most if not all of your viewers will be on broadband, and you don't mind losing some of the business traffic, then Flash is cool and has a place.

Branding is the latest cliche's but it's a good definition for making your company a known company. I brand website designs in all cases. The graphics I develop, such as custom logo designs, website templates, banners, flash animations, presentations, and so on, are designed specifiaclly to brand your company. You want them to know it's you when they see it and you want your logo brand to appeal to a variety of people - that's what I do, make it look like you.

If you tell me what you want, I can probably draw it...

Artwork is fun for me, and I seem to be able to keep it unique and edgy, or professional, or nostalgic, or whatever - I like doing them all. I try hard to make your design as individual and identifiable as possible while still maintaining the style you want. Art design is a nice break from code work, but then again, isn't everything?

Website Templates (Front Ends)

Brand Me, baby!

I never use stock website templates because they are too fat and they all look too similar. Almost all of the templates you see available on the internet today take over a minute to load even without your data and images in place. The templates I design typically load within 15 seconds above the fold (top section of a web page that the viewer sees first.). This only matters to those on a dial up connection, which is over 50% of the internet traffic.
My templates are fast loading, and always cross browser compatible. I include CSS coding and Javascript (.js) source files. I offer custom optimization for search engine spidering as well.

Sliced and Diced

After I draw the site template, I slice it into little pieces. then I just use a few of the little pieces to create the design. The web pages I design utilize the small slices of images as a background in various parts of the page. Your browser automatically repeats the image to produce long graphics section. So instead of one big ol image, there's just a few small ones so the page loads much quicker.
This reduces the load speed by more than 60%. Add that to already highly optimized (low weight - fast loading) graphics work and you have a fast loading site.

Squishy, squish, squish.

My sites typically expand on contract to fit the viewers browser resolution. This is called making the site "squishy". People viewing on the two most popular resolutions (800X600, 1024X768) will see that the site looks normal. The site will also look good in bigger, wider resolutions or laptop resolutions.
