There are a number of things you need to consider
before you have your site designed. You want a website that is
"designed" to do whatever it is you want it to do. For instance if
your primary goal is to sell something, then you use text and
graphics and page design and code to systematically "walk" the
visitor toward a purchase. This is business strategy. Without it,
your site is less likely to produce the results you want.
Appealing Appearance
One of our primary advantages is to be able to come up
with compelling graphics work for our customers. From logos to site
skins, we create 100% of the artwork and graphics you see in the
sites we've designs. It's more than just want to produce something
compelling, it's just that we put our brand on our work and we want
whatever has our brand on it to be the best available.
Website Graphics must load
quickly.
We design the graphics in such a way that they are "lighter" in
weight. If you send us a picture from your digital camera, it's
going to be heavy, usually 2 to 5 Mega Bytes in weight. An image
that size will take as long as 45 seconds to load even on a
broadband connection. Anything taking more than 30 seconds will
probably not be seen. People do not wait. We take that image and
"squeeze" the weight out of it while usually improving the picture
quality. All of the graphics in our sites are done this way. We also
use "sliced" images for repeating backgrounds reducing a single
image by 800%. This is something that we do everyday, it's a built
in process for us, so our site pages will always load fast.
Optimized for Search
Engines
We use techniques in build the sites pages that will help generate
better search engine results for your web pages. We have several
customer sites with Top of page 1 results in Google and other top
search engines.
Optimizing a website for search engine indexing means:
-
Your site will be listed on Search Engines much
faster and more often.
-
Your site will appear in search results for your
local area for your keyword phrases.
-
Your website will more likely appear in searches
related to your keywords and keyword phrases.
Keep in mind that there is a difference between
Search Engine Optimization and Search Engine Marketing. The
optimization aspect is built into the site pages and makes it where
the site is properly indexed and easily found. Search Engine
Marketing is the process of generating traffic from search engines
by using specific methods over a period of time.
Monitor Resolution
considerations
When the visitor sees your site, it needs to look good - not be half
visible, real narrow, or out of shape.
What is a visitor viewing the site at?
-
42% of visitors will be viewing your site on a
Home Desktop Monitor at 1024 Pixels Wide
-
55& of the visitors will see your site on a Home
Desktop 1280 Pixels Wide
-
Laptop users will range from 1280 Pixels to 1680 Pixels wide
We design our websites to look good at any
resolution. In some cases, we make the site expand and contract to
fit any monitor resolution.
